During the course of a typical year, Selective Casting/Internationally Speaking auditioned over 1,000 professional actors and actresses in the course of casting 217 roles for its clients. Among the more challenging projects were:
> Project: A dramatic film to be shown at the first International Youth Olympics held in Singapore to create awareness of the problems of eating disorders among young athletes.
a Challenge: Finding an actress with an authentic Russian accent and the body of a gymnast. Finding an actress with an authentic African accent and the body of a runner. Finding an Asian couple with bodies of Figure Skaters and authentic accents.
> Project: A business marketing video for an international computer software company depicting typical retail customers with multi racial and international demographics.
a Challenge: The original video was recorded in English. We then had to find actors who could revoice the program in authentic Mandarin Chinese, French, Italian, and European Spanish.
> Project: A Webcast for a health information company dealing with Sleep Apnea
a Challenge: Finding actors who actually suffered from Sleep Apnea who also had specific age and gender characteristics required for the project.
> Project: A major single company equipment trade show for an international electronics manufacturer taking place over a three day period at the Javits Center in New York.
a Challenge: During the three month planning period, researching and casting 65 actors who had the presentation skills and the physical appearance required by the Client company, their advertising/marketing agency and the six producers responsible for staging the show.
